How to Promote to MLM Leads
October 19th, 2007How to promote your mlm business is a very hot topic. In fact it’s been the number one reason for success or failure. Those who can market/advertise/promote rule this business. Heck any business for that matter. Here is something that I’ve learned from affiliate marketers that will make you a better marketer.
Offer something for nothing in exchange for their email address.
Do you purchase mlm leads? If so, do you contact them by phone and email?
As you contact these people you’re probably taught to introduce yourself and verify that they are indeed looking for a home based business. The majority of people you contact, don’t have money (so they say)
and you are stuck between a rock and a hard spot.
Now that you have burned through your leads, what are you doing with them? collecting dust?
Here’s something to consider:
As a prospect on the other side looking at a business opportunity, they are inundated with more information than they can handle. They probably don’t even know where to start. Why not offer them a quick start guide or something that can walk them through the process. During your initial contact offer this quick start guide and let that guide by your presenter.
If you have a recruiting system then you really don’t have to worry about it, because you are offering a free tour of your unique system. Correct?
What do you do with a lead after you have exhausted all your promotional idea’s? (these leads never took your tour or never answered the phone) ***prospects like to work at their own pace. What motivates them
is money and the ease at making money.
Could you offer the leads who don’t respond something in exchange for them opting into a autoresponder series you have set up for them? This could be an educational piece on your company or something that
will help them find the right home based business.
The key to this is having an autoresponder that allows people to optin by filling out some form. (affiliate
marketers call this “List Building”.
In the olden days we called all this our “A” list and “B” list.
“A”- list prospects are leads we have just purchased and are ready to receive our follow up series to get them to take a free tour of our system.
“B”-list prospects are people from the “A” list who never took our free tour. (after 30 days we moved em over to the “B” list. We educated them more on a home based business with nothing specific about our company, except in the PS line. We would average between 3-5% more signups using this “B” List technique.
Eventually we created our “C”-list prospects who are basically B List prospects after 45 days. Our only goal here was to try and get some income from these people by offering them an affiliate business or eBook. We left these people on the “C” list until they opted out. By-monthly we would send them an offer of a product that could help us earn a few extra dollars for email leads.
Over the years we have found a couple of good “C” products and one that still works to this day is: www.bobandsue.com/recommends/victim.html Learn how to Rip Off the Rip off artists on the net. Their secrets are exposed.
I guess my point is simple:
Don’t give up on your leads and don’t be afraid to move them from your A list to B list to C list. Your upline might call it something different but it’s still the same thing. Squeeze every penny out of your leads.
IT REALLY DOES WORK.
Make it Happen
