Big Secret to MLM Leads in a Dead Economy

February 6th, 2009

The last recession we experienced our business grew because we were internet based and we did a tremendous amount of training on how to use our automated system. Today you still see these systems if you search the internet but I really don’t see much training, especially since you have a bunch of heavy hitters who have lists running in the 100K range and all they do is send out an email and sponsoring 200 people in 20 hours. But if you are a newbee and you are working your A** off trying to sponsor ONE NEW PERSON, it’s gotta grind on you and really Pi** you off.

My best advice when you are working your mlm leads in this dead economy is to think outside the box. I’ll talk about that in a minute. What I want all of you to understand (especially those of you who are generating your own leads) if you don’t seperate yourself from the crowd by doing something with a personalized touch, that prospect will forget about you as fast as they found your site.

The one thing that will seperate you from the crowd is the one thing we have always done and that is follow up with a personalized telephone call. Mark Weiser of
Black Belt Recruiting Fame and I learned from the same mlm pro’s and we learned a valuable lesson: “newbee’s sell and pro’s sort. Mark’s training is needed now more than ever if you want to sponsor new blood into your business.

No matter how you get your mlm leads, a personalized phone call will seperate you from all the other people who are afraid to talk to prospects. Prospects will remember you and when your emails land in their inbox, they will be more than willing to read what you have to say.

Another touch that seperate’s you from the crowd is a postcard. “what you mean I have to spend more money on prospects by sending out postcards???? No Freakin way……..

Think what you will, postcards are not used that much anymore and we all know that good postcards don’t get thrown in the trash can, they end up in a pile on a desk. Yes, some do end up in the circle file but a large majority of them are sitting on desks all around the US, waiting to jump into your prospects laps. And when it does it’s usually at the moment of weakness in your prospect. They will pick up the phone or shoot off an email to you, asking questions about your business…….Will you be ready?

Those are two examples of “old school” marketing that is working as I type. Another one that people don’t know much about is tied into “new school marketing” is…………… email me and I’ll tell you…

Best wishes
